First Fraser Park Sponsors On Board

Construction recently started at the site of the new Fraser Park Sports & Community Hub and it's great to see local companies coming on board in support.

Fraser Park Sports & Community Hub, when completed in late 2018, will be the new home of Avalon Rugby, Fraser Park Squash, Hutt Valley Dodgers Softball, Lower Hutt City AFC, Mitchell Park Squash, Naenae Hockey, Taita Cricket, Hutt Valley Softball Association and the Wellington Regional Hockey Stadium Trust.  This project is a collaboration of Hutt City Council, Fraser Park Sportsville and the Community Facilities Trust (CFT).

CFT Chair, Kirsten Patterson is delighted with the support so far and hopes other Lower Hutt companies will join the family of Fraser Park Sportsville sponsors.  "We are thrilled to report that more than $260,000 has already ben raised from our generous business community."

Total fundraising has now reached $12.17 million but with $928,000 more required for the project to be completed, there is still a lot of work to do.

Two of the first local companies to show their support of the Fraser Park Sports & Community Hub are Kadima Furniture and Gee & Hickton.  Both local companies have a strong history of supporting Lower Hutt initiatives and see their role in supporting Fraser Park as no different.

"Becoming a supporting sponsor for the new Fraser Park development was a simple decision for Kadima.   As a Lower Hutt based business for over 35 years, Kadima recognises the importance of community/business partnerships and the positive results that come from corporate responsibility in general", said Matt Hancock, Kadima Director.

Gavin Murphy, General Manager of Gee & Hickton said "We've never taken for granted the fabulous support we've had from our community and continue to look for opportunities to put something back as a way of acknowledging that wonderful support."

There are still a range of sponsorship opportunities available and anyone interested should contact the Community Facilities Trust - info@cft.org.nz
